We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who would like to be part of a small friendly team responsible for hosting some great events. You will have the opportunity to gain skills and help raise vital funds for St Mary in the Castle.
The St Mary in the Castle Charitable Trust is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for our volunteers. No experience is required as full training will be given.
St Mary in the Castle Charitable Trust is a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to manage and maintain our beautiful Grade 2* historic venue in Hastings.
We have secured our immediate future after lockdown, but we still need help to assist us going forward. The Trustees will of course be applying for grant funding where appropriate, but all donations however big or small contribute to further securing the maintenance and upkeep of our historic building, along with our amazing staff and the network of performers, promoters, production crew and so many more people who depend on our business for their livelihoods.
We now need to focus all our energy, passion and skill into staying open, finding a way of building an operational, programmable business model whilst working at a greatly reduced capacity due to audience uncertainty about venturing out after a prolonged period of lockdown.
This isn’t about surviving lockdown or reopening for one show, one week or even one year, this is about future proofing Hastings oldest historic venue which is an absolute architectural gem, to ensure it is still thriving up until and beyond its 200th year in 2025.
